Our Reserves are always a selection of our favorite barrels and distinct lots. This Reserve Cabernet shows off the incredibly dense structure of the venerable G2 North Vineyard and the vibrant fruit and limestone-rich character of Adelaida Springs Ranch, home of Rangeland Wines.
Tasting Notes
NoseBright red fruit — cut raspberries, red currant, sliced strawberry — turning darker as air integrates, filling with cassis and plum.
PalateOn the palate, a beautiful burst of acidity creates a wave of freshness that drives the wine across the tongue and makes the mouth water, even as big, chewy tannins take effect. As it warms, barrel spice emerges — cacao, clove, and cigar box in turn. The finish demonstrates the full spectrum of texture, from drying to mouthwatering to polished satisfaction.
