Tasting Notes
NoseA clean, ripe fruit expression bordering on dry, with moderate-intensity aromas of Luxardo cherries, black cherry, blackberry, dried cherry, and dried figs and dates, backed by dry spices and herbs (thyme, oregano, rosemary), black currants, and cassis. Cedar and graphite playfully trade the spotlight beneath the fruit, with chef's-kiss oak integration that is well managed and not overdone.
PalateDark ripe fruit confirmed, with blackberries all day, a charred oak/smoke layer, and lignin/vanillin; gravel minerality on the finish with a woody graphite undertone. Dry, with medium to medium-minus acidity that is juicy and bursting on entry, medium chewy tannins that stick to the cheeks, full body, and medium alcohol. Balanced.
