After trying many Sangiovese sources on the Central Coast, LXV found the beautiful Santa Ynez Vineyard tucked into the foothills on the eastern side of Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara. This benchland property grows fruit that retains a European style of acidity and flavor. Fermented on skins for 21 days in 1-ton open-top tanks and aged 20 months in one new and one used French oak puncheon (50% new).
