Brilliantly powerful, yet soft and rich, this wine shows all the typical characteristics of Chenin blanc. Old vines lend concentration and depth to the aromas and flavors.

On the nose, generous aromas of lemon cream, asian pear, and honey introduce more subtle characters of plumeria and yellow fruit. Flinty, mineral, and even a bit oily in the mouth, the palate reveals luscious citrus flavors and a chalky hint that carries the long finish to a striking crescendo.

Dark in the glass with secrets to divulge, this wine is brooding, earthy, elegant, and generous all at once. In the nose, notes of forest floor temper the dark fruit aromas, with the added complexity of licorice root and cherry. Syrah and Merlot make the wine smooth in the mouth, with tannins more silky than velvety, revealing the pleasant spice of Cabernet Franc on the long, balanced finish.
